Nov. 17th-JR's 1st Birthday

What a great day today. I can hardly believe that JR is a year old today. My does time fly. Ross, Valerie and JR came over this evening for a little dinner, "opening" of birthday presents and of course the traditional cake and ice cream. Papaw made a birthday cake that JR was hesitant about eating until Mom put some cake on the tray. Once he started eating there was no stopping him. The ice cream was also a big hit. The evening was SO entertaining. He is such a happy child. An observation: JR either "talks" or makes noises the ENTIRE time he is eating. Once he starts to really talk, we are all going to be in big trouble.

The day for me was very good. Day 2 of exercising. Upper abs a bit sore today but still managed the sit ups. No trouble with the elliptical. Really enjoying getting back to moving this ole bod.

This morning I went shopping for balloons and birthday decorations and then came home and jazzed up JR's high chair. Steve took 1/2 day off today so that he could bake the cake. It was a good thing he took off because it took most of the afternoon. I tried out a couple of new recipes. They were okay. The salad tasted unusually good. It's been quite awhile since I've had salad. YUM. The cake was also pretty yummy. I did eat too much though.

Figured out today that if I stay on schedule for all of my treatments, I will be finished at the end of January. Hope everything stays on schedule.

Another good day!!!
