Cold Update

As usual I can NEVER get a cold without it turning into something else. I now have a sinus infection. Steve convinced me to call the Drs. office just to see if they could give me any "hints" on what I should be doing. Kelly was very nice. After some conversing it was decided that I indeed have a sinus infection and am now on the Z-pack. Surely will feel better in a day or so. I'm still hoping this doesn't interfere with my treatment schedule. Kelly assured me that as long as I don't have a fever and my labs come back okay we will be good to go. My labs were not good the last time so I'm hoping things have improved enough even with this setback that I'll still be good to go on Wednesday. Cross your fingers.

Had a horrible/gross experience when walking Paxton yesterday afternoon. We were just walking along like normal going down to the pond when all a sudden he made a mad dash to this pile of leaves and did not want to leave. Once I got him pulled away I noticed he was really chowing down on something. THEN he started yapping like he was hurt. I noticed his ears was in his mouth and he was chewing his ear (we don't have the most intelligent dog on the planet) so I reached down to get his ear out of his mouth and THERE matted in his ear AND NOW on my HAND was POOP!!!!!! ACH!!!! It was so gross. We then had to head back home where I put him in the sink and and to wash out the mess. When Steve came home I asked him if he would give him a bath. I couldn't tell if I still had the smell in my nose or I didn't get him clean. So anyway....he was given a bath and things were back to normal. Today there was no way we were going anywhere near that pile of leaves. DOGS.

Tuesday - Dec. 8

Yesterday I was feeling a bit slow again. Late yesterday afternoon I started sneezing and having a runny nose. CRAP!!! I now have a cold. It will be interesting to see what happens with this. Hope it just stays a cold and doesn't go into something worse. I've decided that today I'll just sit on the couch knit, read and rest. Taking my temperature constantly, hoping it says normal; so far so good. Been drinking hot tea and water and took some Airborne. Maybe I can get this thing flushed out. WISH ME LUCK> Would really hate to miss my treatment next week so hope this ole bod can fight this off.
