A date with my new car

Went to Williamsburg this morning to check out the Outlets. Bought a new vest for a steal and a set of Holly Berry china. Didn't really need either. Had a good time walking around window shopping in the 60 degree temperatures.

I did stop at the Country Doughnut shop and picked up Ross's favorite donut to try; an old fashion. I was surprised: no sugar and I didn't need to use any lipgloss after eating it; if you get my gist. Don't think I'll be ordering that one again.

Went out to dinner at the Thai restaurant. Had a spaghetti dish that was delicious. They added raw veggies. Sounds a bit weird but it was really good.

Home now watching some mediocre movie with Al Pacino and Robert Dinero (sp?)

Hairs Update

I've been asked about the status of my eyebrows so here it is: They are still here. I bit thinner but here none the less. There are a couple of places that have few if no hairs but for the most part it's livable. I have been babying them like crazy. I don't touch them and avoid washing them when I clean my face. The only time they get any "attention" is when I feel like "putting on my face" and they get a bit of a rejuvenation and filling in of the small spaces with the eyeshadow. I realized the other day that they are probably thinning when I am flipping around in my sleep. DUH! I only have a few weeks to go so I'm very hopeful that what I have left will remain. I can deal with that.

My eyelashes are also still there. They have always been very thin so I'm not sure if they've changed that much or not. I haven't been careful with them at all.

Head hair has remained the same since it originally fell out. It is mighty thin on the top and thicker on the sides, back and bottom, but still thinner. My stylist will most likely be scared out of her 20 something wits when she sees what she has to deal with. That should be a story unto itself. It has sure been great to have this happen in the winter when it's so easy just to throw on a hat and go. I'm starting to think about transitioning to the spring so I'll have to give up my favorite wool hats. :( I may have become a hat convert after all.

Wed. Lab Day

YEH!!!! Can't believe it but I had "normal" blood work results today. "Normal" said I. "Well, normal for chemo." That was good enough for me. I guess all of my young white cells decided to do their thing and show up finally. My number was 3.4. That's the number that has been hovering around 2 or below. Maybe they'll decide to really reproduce and I'll start with a great number prior to my last treatment.

The nurse asked me how I was feeling and I told her I felt really good, but the blood doesn't lie. So I guess I am feeling as good as I thought. My red cells, platelets and hemoglobin were all also good. (I did continue eating those chicken liver.) I swear I'm a convert. Although I'm really afraid to find out what my cholesterol is doing. Must take one thing at a time, RIGHT?

I went out shopping this afternoon to get a saute pan and I enamel dutch oven. Don't want to pay full price so I went to TJ Max (sorry Ross) but they didn't have anything. I'll keep looking.

Stuck at home tomorrow without a car with nothing to do.

Thinking of going to Williamsburg to the Outlets on Friday. It's supposed to be in the 50's. Maybe I'll stop and get an Old Fashion Donut on the way. (Are you jealous, Ross?)

Fatigue hits on Monday

Woke up Monday with not much energy. Had to take Paxton out for his morning walk with a temperature of 13 degrees. ACH!!! It's just not supposed to get that cold here.

I spent the rest of the day on the couch either sleeping, reading or knitting. Paxton joined me all day. He was such a sport.

Tuesday: Much better today. Still a bit draggy, but not like yesterday. Got simple housekeeping done today. Didn't feel quite as worthless.

I'm sure tomorrow will be better still. Going for lab work tomorrow. We'll see what that looks like. At least I'll get to drive my new car.

AND it's supposed to be in the 50's on Thursday and Friday. Will seem like a heat wave. CAN'T WAIT!!!
