Tuesday Oct. 27

I finally got out and went somewhere today!! YEAH!! First thing, I had to take Paxton to the vet. He had diarrhea when he went to boarding 2 weeks ago and has been doing his "business" in the house every once in awhile. This morning was the last straw for me. He ate his food and then walked no further than 10 feet and pooped on the floor. I decided to get him checked out just to make sure. They had no appointments but told me I could just drop him off and they would work him in between appointments. Actually this worked out even better for me, especially since I then didn't have to sit in the waiting room with a bunch of strangers and possibly their germs. Bottom line with him, he is fine and the vet thinks he may have some anxiety with everything that has been going on here. Apparently, dogs are very sensitive about changes etc. So we are back to house training 101 AGAIN, UGH. Today was the day I had been looking forward to for a week. I went to have a pedicure at a Foot and Hand Spa that does medical services in a spa setting. It was great. Everything was so sanitary. All of the tools were individually wrapped in hermetically sealed packages. They sent me home with all of the files that they used. And then it happened! I was sitting in the chair with the warm electric heating pad booties on my feet with my head back, totally relaxing and almost asleep when I hear," FLOOD". The gal who was doing my pedicure had put the sanitation tablet in the bowl with the water running and then gone to the phone to return phone calls (they are not allowed to answer the phone when they are working on someone). The water just kept running and I was oblivious. There ended up being about an inch of water covering 1/3 of the floor. The other manicurist came running over, ripped the electric booties off of my feet and turned the water off. My gal then had to spend about 15 minutes wiping up the floor. I really wanted to laugh but I didn't think it would be appreciated. Anyway, I enjoyed my morning and I now have brown toenails. Needless to say Steve's response was "They are brown!". I decided it was time to get out of the pink/red box and do something different.
